Recently we attended a couple of wine fairs in Italy.
ViniVeri takes place every year in the town of Cerea, 40 minutes on the train from Verona towards Ferrara. It is a showcase and platform for small and high quality privately owned producers.
ViniVeri defined the following goal for itself: ’Wine should be a product of nature and not external influences intended to speed up or stabilise the winemaking process. We work to restore the harmonious balance between man and the land.’ www.viniveri.net
The second event was VinItaly in Verona, a showcase for all the wines from all the regions of Italy. And it is vast! Miles of bottles of wine lined up to be tasted …
The most interesting part of VinItaly was ViVit. ‘ViViT brings together producers from around the world who are keen to express themselves through transparency, authenticity and individuality. Their wines seek to be the authentic expression of the land where they are produced.’ http://www.vinitaly.com/en/exhibitor-area/vivit/
We met friendly and interesting people who offer exciting wines, some of which we will bring to Festa sul prato.
